Jerry has been with JMA since 1991. He tells his story best in his own words:
“When I was age 10, I went to the job site where my father worked where they let me nail off roof sheathing. After moving to Oklahoma, on weekends, after school and summer, I built houses from the ground up with my father beginning at age 12 until age 16. I like working with people. I like figuring things out, shop drawings, making sure what is on paper translates to what we build, i.e., quality control. I have taken construction management classes, blueprint reading and math classes, and a couple at Sonoma State taught by JMA employees.
The best part about work is the people I work with and they are also the primary reason I have been with JMA for over two decades. I have made good friends here.
The best part of construction is the feeling of accomplishment. You see the fruit of your labor that’s part of a grand process. Without sounding corny, I enjoy being part of our TEAM that produces such great product.
I have two wonderful sons, a daughter-in law, and a beautiful granddaughter. My favorite thing has been watching and sharing with my sons as they grew up. My sons are in their mid-thirties now, and to this day I still enjoy them as much as when they were growing up. I am a 7th degree Black Belt in the World Tang Soo Do Association. I like to travel, and I enjoy Mexico, which I visit annually for vacation.”

I’ve worked on some fantastic custom houses, most of which are not on our website, as the clients do not want publicity or photos.
