Sonoma Country Day School

Learning is a key skill in building. JMA and its team of subcontractors worked closely with the Day School board, staff, parents, and architect to produce a tightly-integrated facility that more than lives up to their expectations. Classrooms, work rooms, and support functions wrap around a professional quality 750-seat theater, all reflecting southwestern styling. Following the original school’s construction, we worked closely with the architect and school staff to build a full size gymnasium with support spaces and four classrooms. Our subcontractors engineered the steel structure, mechanical systems, plumbing, and electrical, saving money and speeding construction. With a dramatic, curved glass, two-story foyer, it blends well with the rest of the campus, despite its necessary volume.
